Colourstrings Sonatini paves the way for intimate chamber music and recital playing. The melodies of the violin part are taken from the early volumes of the Violin ABC, Books B and C. They are printed in two ways; with coloured notes in the one-line or two-line system and with traditional note writings. The latter where the notes appear on the five-line system invite those pupils who are taught with a classical violin school to play these sonatines.
