Teacher Training Course

Colourstrings is an internationally recognised approach to music education which was developed in the 1970s by the Hungarian brothers Géza and Csaba Szilvay, who are well known to string players and educators the world over. The Colourstrings approach to music teaching is based on Kodály principles and represents the finest opportunity for young children to be taught musicianship skills in the early years.

This 5-day introductory course forms the first part of training as a certified Colourstrings Music Kindergarten Teacher. It is suitable for musicians and early years practitioners who wish to teach music in an early years setting.Course content will include:

  • Kodály methodology
  • Singing Rascals Books
  • Child psychology
  • Lesson planning
  • Repertoire for babies and young children
  • Dance and movement workshops
